Always spotlessly clean, great variety of products and expanding. Now in addition to meat they have the best deli selection in Paphos. Very friendly staff, always willing to help. We simply stopped buying meat anywhere else.

I went to Butcher Boy today - 2 March 2011.
I asked for advice because as a life-long vegetarian, I really don't know much about meat. The only thing I knew I wanted was grass fed beef.
They said they had some Irish grass fed beef - I was delighted. I asked how much it was and was told it was €19.40 per kilo. It sounded very expensive - but as I was there - and the guy serving me seemed really delighted to have his opinion sought and appreciated - I went ahead with it.
Feeling happy, I trotted over to the counter and was charged €15.50 for my two steaks. I was too embarrassed to query the price but that seemed extortionate to me for two steaks.
In the car, I unpacked my parcel to discover the beef was from Australia, not Ireland, and I had been charge €27.70 per kilo. It was not a mistake because he changed the amount he keyed into the scales and made a joke of it - so he was proficient using them.
I'm so disappointed. I'm not a stroppy Brit - I speak as much Greek as I can and I'm always very appreciative of help from other people.
The meat was of so-so quality - certainly did not live up to it's cost.
I would suggest people check the prices they are charged here.
